Group Therapy

Learn as a community, grow as an individual.

In life, there is a strange comfort in knowing someone else gets your pain, frustrations, and has experienced similar events.

This phenomenon is the power of group therapy. It allows individuals to come together on their life journey and help each other to heal and grow.

Group therapy offers coping skills and support. It is an outlet to be heard, to practice healthy boundaries and communication skills, and it allows a safe space for you to be vulnerable. The safety created in a group allows you to feel comfortable sharing your hurts, pain, and frustrations.

During a session, you will be allowed to express your thoughts, react to other people’s thoughts and feelings, and learn to create a healthier narrative. It is also a great alternative if you cannot afford individual therapy, but you need some assistance to help you through the current season of your life.

Each session begins with discussing the importance of confidentiality among the group members. Group therapy works well when all members are committed to maintaining confidentiality and when each member knows that their problems, pain, and life will not be discussed outside of the group. This creates a powerful bond between group members and many times ends up creating friendships that can last a lifetime!

Groups are offered monthly and start at the beginning of each month. The minimum requirement for a group to start is 3 people, with a max of 6 people.

Divorce Support Group
Mondays at 6pm | Facilitated by Deandra Hennemann

During a divorce, you watch everything that you’ve built come crashing down. The trauma from your life falling apart can leave you feeling scared, angry, hurt, and alone.

But there is hope and support for you. This divorce support group will give you the tools to cope with the loss of your marriage, set healthy boundaries with your ex, speak up with your authentic voice, and be empowered to rebuild the life you desire.

Adolescents’ Divorce Support Group
Mondays at 7pm | Facilitated by Deandra Hennemann

The impact of divorce on a family can be immense. For teens, it’s as though someone is vigorously shaking the “snow globe of their life.”

Things don’t start settling until the divorce is finalized, at which point a “new normal” can start. This “new normal” entails getting used to two homes versus one, coordinating schedules, dealing with a parent dating or remarrying, and possibly having to deal with the stress of fighting parents.

This group allows teens to express their thoughts and frustrations… as well as discover that they are not alone in the process. Teens who attend the group are taught the skills to love both parents equally and find their balance within their “new normal.”

Engage in the opportunity to meet for coffee, conversations, connection, and cultivation.
